Royal Suite

Imperial heart.

Today's Royal Suites were once the private apartments of the palace's owner, Phillip of Wurttemberg. Exquisite crystal chandeliers glitter from seven-metre high stucco-decorated ceilings casting the rooms in sparkling aristocratic flair. Crowned heads and state guests, artists and megastars of three centuries have ascended the famed princely staircase to enter entranced a world of polished elegance.

Precious appointments, marble bathrooms and walls upholstered in silk: the Royal Suites present themselves in the manner of Schönbrunn palace on over 160 square metres. With up to three bedrooms each, the impressive suites occupy the entire front of the Imperial's belle étage, or first floor.

The masterfully crafted star-patterned parquet floors seem to creak with respect. Like the original antique porcelain ovens, the floors have been preserved and carefully restored. Padded double folding doors open onto the spacious bedroom and salon flooded with light.

What ideas did movers and shakers play with in the quiet of the Royal Suites, what weighty decisions did they reach? Their spirit lives on in the historic halls to conjure up a unique atmosphere. Here you find yourself in a noble ambiance: in the morning, a butler brings the freshly ironed newspaper with a cup of Viennese coffee to your bedside. Would you do us the honour?
